How to properly make payments to Olmec

To book surgery with OLMEC – and also to make the down payment for your desired surgery with Olmec – please follow the outlined steps below:

• OLMEC and you agree on a surgery date to suit your needs.
• After the agreement on a surgery date, you will get an email confirming this date and the request to make the down payment or the full payment for your surgery/surgeries. Please note that all transaction charges have to be covered by you.
• You will have 7 days to initiate the transaction for the surgery date that was mutually agreed upon. On the transaction form please state your full name, your country of residence, and the surgery procedure(s) you will be doing.

  The necessary down payment is 3000.- US $ – or the equivalent of that amount in INR at the date of wiring the amount – or the full sum of the surgery you want to have with us, should that full amount be less than 3000.- US $.

  Please be aware that the down payment is NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE!

  Should you be unsure about which bank to use, please consider Wise (www.wise.com) since the money charges are low, the conversion rates are very good and they have speedy transaction times. Please make sure to transfer enough money, so that the proper transfer amount will be covered. A possible surplus amount of fees paid will be reimbursed in cash once you arrive at Olmec.

  KEEP IN MIND:
  Whenever you ask a bank to wire a certain amount – say 10 000.- USD – they will deduct all their costs from that amount – but transaction charges are on you. On top of that, they will convert this amount for you but they will give you a poor exchange rate – never the one you will find on money exchanges. This way your 10 000.- USD will end up being 500 to 800 USD less (depending on your bank) than the money you asked them to send.

  Wise gives you the current exchange rate of the money exchanges – thus, using their services, you will get the true daily exchange rate. Also, they display for you the transaction cost and the amount of money the receiver gets when you send amount X – so you can see exactly how much money Olmec gets when you transfer amount X to Olmec. This way you can be sure the amount you transfer will be the proper amount you want to send so we at Olmec get what we ask for.

• Please send proof of the initiated payment transaction to us within this 7 working day period. As soon as we receive this payment transaction receipt/ proof of transaction, your surgery date will be blocked for 9 working days.
• As soon as our bank confirms the reception of your transaction amount within this 9 working day period, your surgery date is fully booked for you.
• We recommend that you transfer the remaining surgery total to Olmec 4 weeks before you travel to India by transfer. This way the money aspect is out of your way and you can completely focus on your upcoming surgery/ surgeries.
  Should you decide to pay the remaining amount of the surgery total once you come to India, make sure the surgery total is in Olmec’s bank account at least 3 working days before your scheduled surgery date.
  • If you consider paying by Wise allow for at least a 2-4 working day transaction period
  • If you consider paying by credit or debit card make sure that you set all card limits accordingly in advance so you have the appropriate amount at your disposal – also if you pay via credit or debit card you will have a 4% upcharge for international patients and a 2% upcharge for Indian patients

Once we receive the money, all signs are GO! for you and your surgery.
